Revd Dr Alex Ross

The Reverend Dr Alexander Ross is Vicar of Saint John’s Finch Street, with Saint Agnes’ Glen Huntly. He completed his undergraduate study in Australia and graduate studies at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge.
Dr Ross serves as a Director on the School Council of Melbourne Grammar School and is an Alternate Director of the Victorian Scottish Heritage Cultural Foundation. He is an elected delegate to the Provincial Council of the Anglican Province of Victoria, as well as the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Australia. He is Sharwood Lecturer in Canon Law at Trinity College Melbourne, an Honorary Postdoctoral Associate of the University of Divinity, co-Chair of the Anglican Church of Australia-Uniting Church of Australia Joint Standing Commission (Province of Victoria) and one of nine Anglican theologians appointed by the Archbishop of Canterbury and Secretary-General of the Anglican Communion to be a member of the Anglican-Roman Catholic International Commission (ARCIC). Dr Ross has been a member of the Brotherhood of St Laurence’s Quality and Care Governance Committee since 2020 and joined the BSL Board in April 2022.
