Volunteers

BSL is thankful to the 1,415 volunteers who have donated their time and skills as part of our workforce and supported our programs, participants and op shops over the last year.

As participants in every part of the organisation, you share our concerns, increase public awareness of our work, and motivate others to get involved. Our volunteers work in a variety of roles right across our programs and stores: community store retailers; tutors and mentors supporting students, new migrants and jobseekers; business mentors supporting women from refugee and migrant backgrounds; companions to the elderly; childcare and childhood development assistants; and professional advisors through our Board and governance committees. Volunteer contributions mean we can provide deeper engagement with our communities and enhance our mission to tackle poverty and disadvantage in this country. Thank you for all your invaluable talent, time and goodwill.
