Heather Cetrangolo

Heather Cetrangolo is an ordained Anglican priest with a broad ministry spanning over fifteen years. She is the Founder and CEO of the Academy of Systemic Renewal, a Franciscan scholar and Vicar at Holy Trinity in Port Melbourne. She has served in a variety of roles, including parish ministry, chaplaincy in schools and universities, and community development.
Her work has consistently focused on supporting leaders in disadvantaged settings, whose work is under-resourced, underfunded, or advancing agendas that have not yet been taken seriously by the surrounding system. This includes issues like sustainable investment, racial justice and the prevention of violence against women in faith communities.
In addition to her ministry, Heather is also a qualified lawyer and teacher. She has used her diverse set of skills to advocate for and educate people in challenging circumstances, bridging legal, educational, and spiritual spheres. She holds a PhD from the University of Divinity. Her doctoral research theorises a pedagogy for systemic change inspired by early Franciscan social reform. Her study is interdisciplinary and employs participatory action research, integrating critical pedagogy, Franciscan history, and systems thinking. She is a former Caux Scholar, holds a Graduate Diploma of Teaching, Graduate Diploma of Arts (Christian Leadership), Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Skills and Ethics and is qualified as a legal practitioner.
