Katy Cornwell

Head of Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning

Katy joined the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team of the Social Policy and Research Centre in 2021. She did her PhD in Development Economics and Business Statistics (Development Economics) at Monash University and continued there as Lecturer and Research Fellow before moving on to World Vision Australia as Senior Evidence and Learning Advisor. She has experience across all stages of research and evaluation, from inception and design, to traversing the field and producing publications.

Katy is passionate about including and empowering those with lived experience through her work. She is a member of the Australian Evaluation Society and has been involved in ethics application processes within Australia and overseas.
