The RJH Initiative is a state-led, community-driven employment, education and training initiative designed to achieve systems reform in policy and places across Tasmania. The Regional Jobs Hubs, their Advisory Boards and Jobs Tasmania work as a statewide network that advances regional issues to inform policy and program design and implementation. This involves sharing and harnessing diverse expertise and learnings through a common model and a community of policy and practice, identifying as a network of hubs working to a shared ambition and policy agenda, and genuine collaboration between the hubs and government. The RJH model was designed to be flexible and regionally agile to ensure that each hub can adapt and respond to the specific needs and challenges in their local community.

Through the Developmental Evaluation and the validated outcomes for the RJH Initiative, it is evident that Tasmania’s RJH Network is demonstrating six key value adds for government, community and employers, enabling jobs for local people and workforce solutions for local employers and priority industries which can adapt to changing labour market conditions:
