Refugee Action Program
Our Refugee Action Program assists refugee communities to access services in an unfamiliar system.
Our Refugee Action Program works in partnership with Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre. We work across the northern corridor of the Melbourne Metro region supporting the settlement journey of refugee lived experienced communities. We help build their resilience and confidence in the service system and empower these communities to establish a strong and vibrant local community groups to better advocate for themselves.
The BSL Refugee Action Program acts as the “bridge” connecting communities with service providers and resources through helping to identify and achieve their aspirations and needs.
Who is eligible?
Newly arrived refugee and asylum seeker communities in the Melbourne northern metropolitan region. Identified groups are selected through a transparent process with BSL and Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre.
