Recently, the Brotherhood of St. Laurence marked the end of the Life Chances study after 34 years. The study is one of Australia's longest longitudinal study and has contributed important insights into the experience and persistence of inequality in Australia. Over the years, the study has resulted in 23 reports, 10 journal articles, 42 presentations and papers, 3 films, 1 book and 2 book chapters. The first film made in 1995 was aired on SBS TV and screened at international film festivals.
A recording of the event , which featured a special BSL Talks panel discussion with two Life Chances participants, along with Dr Rebecca Huntley, BSL researcher Dr Dina Bowman and Professor Roger Wilkins from the Melbourne Institute, is now available.
