Policy a la carte – can we take proven solutions from around the world and make them work here?

Andrew Wear (public policy expert and author) will be interviewed by the Brotherhood’s Executive Director Conny Lenneberg. They will explore Andrew’s research into policy approaches that are successful elsewhere and the transferability of these to Australia. The discussion will traverse broad territory including tackling inequality, addressing violence and achieving zero emissions.

Andrew is a senior Victorian public servant with a passion for public policy and author of new release Solved! How other countries have cracked the world’s biggest problems and we can too . He has degrees in politics, law, economics and public policy, is a graduate of the Senior Executive Program at Harvard Kennedy School, and a fellow of the Institute of Public Administration Australia. Andrew’s work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals, The Mandarin and The Guardian. He is a board member at Ardoch – a children’s education charity.
