Anglican Diocese of Melbourne

Nick White is a social anthropologist and Anglican priest, currently Partnerships Coordinator with the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne, a position jointly funded by the Diocese, Anglicare Victoria and the Brotherhood of St Laurence. Prior to ordination in 2013, Nick held social policy roles in the Victorian Government and most recently as Executive Officer, Social Planning and Development with the Yarra Ranges Shire Council. His PhD at the University of Melbourne addressed the negotiation of nationhood and social identity in multi-ethnic Germany and was based on field research in Osnabrück Germany. In addition to the BSL HREC, Nick is on the Ethics Committee of the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW), the board of the Spiritual Health Association (SHA) and has served on the Council of the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne.
