Community consultation with 2–5 year olds in Hobsons Bay

This consultation in Hobsons Bay, a municipality in Melbourne’s west, was commissioned to assist the Council to develop their Children and Young People’s Plan.

Through drawing, responding to photographs and talking about what they wished for, young children were invited to describe what they enjoyed, didn’t like or would like to change about activities in their neighbourhood.

The report suggested future actions based on the children’s responses and the wider evidence base about creating a 'child friendly' community.
