Women on the Move: evaluating a refugee mentoring pilot project

This report presents the evaluation of a small-scale pilot in which refugee women requiring personal and settlement support were matched with volunteer mentors in the City of Hume in Melbourne’s north.

The project showed the potential for community-based initiatives to reduce social isolation and help newcomers adjust to life in Australia, as well as to increase understanding in the wider community.
