Workforce participation and non-participation among baby boomers in Australia: a profile from HILDA data
Quantitative study of mature age workforce participation and non-participation
This study, commissioned by the Brotherhood of St. Laurence and undertaken by NATSEM researchers Honge (Cathy) Gong and Justine McNamara, showed that baby boomers are a diverse group.
Analysis of data from the Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia (HILDA) Survey showed, for example, that almost one-third of people aged 45–54 who are not in the paid workforce would prefer to be working.
