This study focuses on a BSL initiative to increase participation in mainstream employment for people with disability.

The pilot project in the Hume region of north-west Melbourne involves adapting and extending the Transition to Work (TtW) program to meet the needs of young people with disability. The evaluation explores what’s working well, the challenges that have been encountered, and how the P2E program could be refined and improved.

The study has three components:

  • interviews with program staff and community stakeholders
  • descriptive analyses of participants’ situations and the activities that were delivered
  • interviews with P2E participants to gain their perspectives on the P2E program.
